Automatic Noise PSD Estimation for Archive Audio Restoration

Demonstration Signals Accompanying the Article

PEAQ Examples

This section reproduces a diagram similar to Figure 7 in the article. You can click on the points and listen to the signals that the ODG ratings are based on.

The results that the plots below are based on are a subset of those used to generate the plot in the article, based on 100 of the 1000 clean signals. Furthermore, in the plot below the ODG ratings are separated by noise type and that the ODG rating for each condition is shown as a point below, while the ratings have been summarized by means of a box plot in the article. The clean signals that the evaluation is based on have been downloaded from jamendo (clean music signals) and LibriVox (clean speech signals) and have either been published under a creative commons Attribution license (jamendo) or are in the public domain (LibriVox).

The following tabs contain the diagrams for all types of continuous broadband disturbance that have been considered in the evaluation. Included are: artificial white noise, artificial pink noise, real-world tape noise and real-world optical film soundtrack noise.
